Since the very first day I officially dove into the figure world this has been my grail list. Typically I like to focus on the future and not harp on figures from the past that I’ve missed, but the figures on this list were ones I simply could not forget. My grail list is probably not all that grand because all of the above items can be found on eBay at any point in time…the only issue is the price they go for. If I find Revy and finish off this list it’s unlikely I’ll develop another “Grail List”. I mean sure if I get filthy rich there are some figures from the past I’ll actively go after. For example I might go after (Max Factory) Shenhua, (New Line) Revy, (Megahouse) Sailor Venus and Jupiter.
Why am I bringing up my Grail List now? I recently found the 1/10 scale Max Factory Sakura for a price I could agree to, and from a location I felt safe buying from. I paid $60 (free shipping) for her, up until now all the places seemed to be selling her at $60 + $20 shipping from Hong Kong (blah). If she was a larger scale I might have been willing to drop a little more, but for 1/10th I waited a while watching eBay for a price I was ok with.
I could afford Revy if I buckled down and canceled other figures. The only thing is I really can’t face how much she goes for on eBay. The last few Alter Revy figures have been selling for well over $200 + shipping. I could not in good conscience spend that much on a single figure even if I cancelled hundreds of dollars of other figures. Why? As much as I love and admire this figure I worry that she really isn’t worth that much. So at this point my main hope is that Alter will re-release her, I’m going to hold onto that hope for a while longer and see if it pans out. I actually had no hope that Alter would re-release Revy for a long time. That was until I noticed them re-releasing their Version 4 of Kos-Mos and their Maid Saber. Plus I believe the 3rd season of the Black Lagoon anime was announced? All those points allowed me to hope just a little bit.
Do you have a grail list? How is it going? Is there hope of completing it?

I might have, but when I first started, I dove into the figure world without knowing what it was really all about other than “this is a must have”. So I never really did research on older figures. None are currently on a grail list I guess.
@ Panther – I didn’t research much except to see if there were any nice Sailor Moon figures. I’ve always wanted a Sailor Moon figure. The Clare/Revy/Sakura/Kureha/Char I had JUST barely missed the pre-orders on when I started out. The Rider someone randomly posted a picture of on a forum and I fell in love. I don’t like to dig into past figures too much because the quality of figures today is just soooooo much better.
My grail list is to get all the Ryoko figures.( says it with bon fires in his eyes) Other then that I REALLY want to collect the FREEing bunny figures, And the Chu x Chu Idol Chua Churam. I will have my Chua Churam if it kills me!!!!! It’s actually one of my biggest figure regrets when one of my local shops got it in and I didn’t get it(T.T)
that revy figure is really nice but hard to find, I would have loved to have bought it when it first came out. I’m getting going to get the new one from Jun Planning instead. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10083029

I want her too but then the price is something I can never agree with…$200 for Revy…it’s just too much for me…
I got a list of figures I want from the past…sadly, I’m looking into the future too much…
I don’t really have a grail list, because there’s way too many older figures I don’t have and would love to get, but I do have one figure that I have very little chance of ever getting that I would like to one day own. I finally got one of my most-wanted obscure figures recently so I’m content for now.
@Lovely: LOL, u know that “Revy” u have pictured up there? Not to tease or taunt, but I haven’t even opened her box yet. Since 2007! >o<
@ Otaku Dan – I ordered her too. At this point I’ll be happy with almost any Revy figure (as long as the quality isn’t bad). She has a nice look in her eyes in the Jun Planning one.

I had a chance to buy her for $100 on eBay last spring and I regret not snatching her at that price.
@Lovely: Hmmm, gonna try and steal her? I never mentioned it, but it’s on my “About” page somewhere, lol. Ouch, $100? In my case~ wait, lemme look up my Gmail~ wow, back in Feb 2007, only $48 plus $9 for shipping… But I never expected her to be so rare and sought after, just a couple years later. Whoa.
Actually I was just thinking that I’d probably jump on a Clayz Saber if I got the chance to. I really like her but I’ve really given up hope on paying a reasonable price for one.

@ xJay – I was sort of talking to everyone about Saber, kind of like an edit to the post. I’m talking about the one of her in the more feminine version of her regular outfit (not the bathing suit one). So the first link. And HOW DARE you own her! Sir you are on my hit list now! Beware! That’s the only Saber that I have a desire for that I’m missing, I pretty much own all the rest of the good ones (at least from my point of view).
@Luckie: Hehehe. Funny though. Including the recent Figma, I own 7 different “Sabers”, including the one below that started *everything* for me. My over-indulgent figure collection. My over-abundant list of anime-to-watch. Everything, lol. Here she is. My first-ever order…
Alter Dark Saber! I love her! I got mine last spring at the very reasonable price of $30! She is probably currently my favorite Saber just because I like her pale complexion/hair tone and the fact that she doesn’t look ANGRY. Too many Dark Sabers are too angry for my tastes. I like the Kotobukiya figure of Saber in her plain shirt and skirt…but apparently that figure is generally disliked by the figure community.
@Luckie-chan: Yeah, “Dark Saber” was my first exposure to Fate/Stay Night, Saber, or Gothic Lolita before I even knew what they were! But guess what? I’ve got that 1/8 Kotobukiya “Saber” too, lol. She’s my third order ever. Plus my 1/8 Alter “Saber in Brown Dress” (holding her sandal). My second order ever. In fact, 5 of my first 6 figures ever were “Sabers”!
I get the impression you have almost every Saber. May I ask which ones you have? I regrettably don’t own any of the Clayz ones or the Alter/Kotobukiya Date Outfit Sabers (I have the GSC one though).

Originally I had a WonFes Solid Theater Saber setup but that fell through. So I bought this one thinking she’d at least look cool with the mask on. But once I saw her in person I decided I actually liked her piercing eyes and put her on a nice shelf.
There aren’t as many Rins that I like, otherwise I’d own more.

@Luckie-chan: Don’t know the difference between the Solid Theatre versions, Google isn’t cooperating, lol. Curiously, a couple years ago, I was seriously considering the “Rider Swimsuit”. But as I let time pass, I found I wasn’t as passionate with her (or her pose) as much as other figures. So it worked out, lol.

Here is the WonFes Saber I was talking about.
I’m passionate about Rider in general. I’m a big sucker for almost any figure I see of her. More-so with her then almost any other character. I’m actually not a fan of bathing suit figures in general just because I prefer dishing out money for fancy outfits over sexy skin.

If i had a compiled a list,Clare,Revy and Rider would be on it.There are quite a few figures id like to get that were released short before i got into figures…
The easiest to obatin would prolly be Clare but
